Hands for a Bridge Community Celebration |
It has been a wonderful year for Hands for a Bridge. A devoted group of students, parents, teachers and community members have labored mightily to keep the conversation alive: two successful journeys to South Africa and Northern Ireland, a successful hosting of Northern Ireland students and teachers, the newly formed Hands for a Bridge Foundation as a non-profit entity, local high school exchanges, and dialogue projects within the halls of Roosevelt High School.
A celebration with dance, music, poetry and song was created and performed by the Hands for a Bridge 2009/2010 traveling students. In the audience were parents and students from previous HFB groups, as well as the students and parents of the 2010/2011 traveling group, who are at the beginning of their HFB journeys.
Good luck to all past and present HFBers. It is the trip that never ends.
